The performance of mixed martial arts has a long history behind it. In fact, it used to be played in Greek sports fests during the ancient times. Back then, it was referred to as pankration. Certain sports were also partially responsible for shaping mixed martial arts into its current form. Boxing is one of them. This can only be expected since both boxing and mixed martial arts are contact and somewhat combative types of sports.
